TRX-4 Sport kit on the way! Looking for capable servo and brushed motor!

My beloved TRX-4 Sport kit is on the way and I'm looking for a capable low-mid budget servo and brushed motor. I've already decided to go with the Hobbywing Quicrun 1080 ESC and I'm looking at a Savox SW0231 servo and a 35T brushed motor from Rc4wd. This particular servo seems to be a standard choice among the community however I cannot find any Holmes Hobbies motors in Europe.

Just built a TRX-4 Sport kit the other week. Decided to save some money and try out an inexpensive but well like "20KG" server by Annimos. It runs around $20 and so far I've been extremely happy with how it performs. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ANNIMOS-20K...53.m2749.l2649

I also decided to run a stock Traxxas 21T Titan Reverse and gear it down with a 45T Spur and 12T pinion gear. Been pleased with the speed/control it gives. Just my .02c so far! Cheers

I would look for a 21T or a 27T 550 motor if you can find one.

I was thinking about 35+

A 550 motor has more torque and fewer RPMs than a standard 540 motor.

Save your money on the motor for now and put it into the best servo you can find/afford. The stock Traxxas 550 is a pretty good motor overall and you’re not gaining anything with a 35T RC4WD motor. In point of fact, you’re probably losing performance. The HW1080 is definitely a good call though. Awesome ESC and very “tuneable” to your needs.

There is no "stock" motor in the sport kit, comes sans angry pixies. Roll your own as they say.

I would recommend the stock Traxxas Titan 550 21t motor. I'm sure you can buy that in the EU. It works surprisingly well with the HW1080 and is inexpensive. Also take a look at the Savox 2290, a little more money but likely the last servo you would need to buy.
