Default Bec now no servo

I hooked a external 10amp bec up. Wired it from the battery cable. Clipped the red wire to the esc. Soldered everything. Used a 2 way plug for bec and servo. What did I do wrong? The car runs but no servo. Tried running it in the auxiliary port with the lights and didn't work. Had the servo kick the tires to the right when I first plugged in the battery but it didn't acknowledge the transmitter. I used liquid tape to waterproof it. Could that have messed up the bec?

Ok it must have been the 2 way plugs. Plugged the bec directly into the aux port and magic.

Do have another question regarding the castle link and a hobbwing 1040 esc. Will the link program that too or just the castle esc products?

Try an rx bypass harness for powering your servo via bec while connecting to the rx. You can buy them or easily make one.

The Castle link only works on Castle ESC's and Castle based ESC's such as the Holmes Hobbies ESC's.

HW ESCs use a programming card https://www.amainhobbies.com/hobbywi...SABEgI5kPD_BwE

The HW WP1040 cannot be programmed with the programming card. It uses jumpers for controlling 2 things - drag brake and Lipo/NiMh battery. Everything else you're stuck with the factory program settings.
