| TRX4 Sport Kit and Tower Pro MG996R
Good afternoon people! Today was my Sport's first time on the trails after building it and it was so much fun! It feels so much more ''sweeter'' to drive compared to the SCX10II I used to own Having said that there seems to be an issue with the servo I put on. It's a Tower Pro MG996R. Whenever the weight of the truck falls forth (while descending for example) and I turn right, it gets stuck and starts buzzing for a bit and then turns as it should. When turning to the left it works fine. Could it be that the weight of the truck is too much for this particular servo?

I have had some of the MG996R's but I see them as a budget type. I was surprised when mine survived water immersion, but they are weak in power. Better off buying a PowerHD or similar.

| Re: TRX4 Sport Kit and Tower Pro MG996R I suppose I'll have to buy a new one soon enough! You see I went out for another run today and now it won't turn properly even when not putting too much weight on the front. Guess I'll go for a 20 or 25+ this time and hopefully the HW1080 ESC can support it without using an external BEC.

The 1080 will support some good servo's. It can be set to 7.4 volts (sorry if you knew that already) if the servo will take it. Even at 6 volts its good enough.

| Re: TRX4 Sport Kit and Tower Pro MG996R I knew that but it's no problem at all I'll probably pick one of the Savox ones. I really like the 2290SG although it's bit pricey and maybe too fast for a scale crawler. One question though: when picking a servo, do I have to take into consideration the Amps of the ESC's internal BEC?

I'm not sure about that to be honest. I think you would be ok, but check the specification, first or someone else here may know better.

The 1080 internal bec ist rated at 3A. The savox depending on the model are AMP hungry so better check before. The powerHD WP 20kg will be no Problem for the 1080. Gesendet von meinem Pixel 2 XL mit Tapatalk |
