Angry Chewed wires

We've been having issues with some fuzzy little squatters of late and they got to the wires on my Vaterra Ascender K-5, chewing up the servo lead and battery leads on the battery and receiver

I'm going to just use electrical tape for now and if I have to change out the ESC, I have the XL-5 that came with my 4-Tec 2.0 (put a 2 pole VXL in it) and will heat shrink the battery wires and eventually the servo wire as well. Until we can get rid of these little bastards, is there something I can put on wires wires to make then bitter to them?

I'm beginning to think we need a cat or some sort of terrier at this point

We get the electric rat zapper that plugs in to the wall. Then threw dry dog food in it. I'm pretty happy with them.

They make bitter sprays for kids thumbsucking and dogs but no idea if it works on rats.

Man when I first read this I was imagining that the "furry little squatters" were puppies or kittens then I saw the zapper comment lol.

Maybe you can box up the truck and put it somewhere out of reach.

Or... build a big rat trap that you can park the Vaterra in or bait a trap with some wire.

I'll let myself out.
