Default Patriot R/C HT Ultra Charger Questions

I've had mine for about a decade now and it's served me well in this time. Now since I had been texting with the friend I had gone out bashing and crawling with today about his HobbyKing sourced charger that is more or less the same thing, it got me got to wondering, is it possible to upgrade the firmware in this thing since it's basically the same as at least half the multi-chemistry chargers out there

Is there a USB port? No? Then probably can't upgrade.

Stuff with no usb port can be updated with hardware ic programmers but there probably isn't one availabe. And probably not cost effective.

I looked for ports, couldn't find one other than the temp sensor port, but that isnsupposed to use a JR style servo plug.

im guessing its like the flysky gt3 series of controlers you would have to solder in your own port i would spend some time on youtube and google there might be a way if the guy can conect to it to calibrate it and tweek the settings then there has to be some kind of interface option

i found a hole bunch of videos about it on you tube i surched for the imax b6

Is just to charge high voltage lipos? I don't think they are worth the hassle myself. I think some esc's don't recognize them properly an just give you voltage errors. And possibly they are just regular high guality lipo cells that are being pushed to their limits.

Pluss seems like a hassle, I would just upgrade to a newer charger like the D100 v2.
Or just be happy with this one that's been working good for 10 years.

But I totaly get wanting to tinker with stuff that isn't broken lol

It was bought at the time I had been working for a HTU and was putting effort into making things go plaid as well as needed something that would work on the smaller batteries for my crawlers. It bought one of the Traxxas Dual Peak chargers with 2 7600 2s packs for my E-Revo since this charger had been issues with getting hot when I would try to use it. Now that it has been replaced as my main charger, it's started to behave it self with more normal sized NiMH and LiPo packs.

I'm just getting back into the hobby following a hiatus due to job related hobby burn out (working on everybody elses stuff, no ambition to work on my own), a sudden and unexpected career change 3 years ago (fired then fell into a better paying call center job closer to home!), Mom being ill multiple times since 2014 involving two near deaths in 2015 and 2017, and finally getting an infected ingrown toenail taken care of.

Just for reference, here's the Traxxas charger I bought as a main charger.

Nothing fancy, but it does two at a time and I don't need to charge more than a 3s anymore.
