Re: New true waterproof HiTec

What makes this “true waterproof”? They spent some money on saying its IP67 rated?

Re: New true waterproof HiTec

400 oz at 7.4 volts but its rated to 8.4 volts. Why not publish the specs at the highest rated voltage?

Re: New true waterproof HiTec

In the text they list to 8.4v, but in the spec chart they only list to 7.4v.

Who knows...

Looks to me like the 8.4v was a typo.

it is the performance specification, not the technical specification - it seems like they wont tell you the specs at 8.4V

<table width="550" border="1"><tbody><tr style="background-color: #666666;"><td colspan="2" width="500" bgcolor="#000000">Performance Specifications</td> </tr> <tr style="background-color: #858585;"> <td width="300">Operating Voltage Range (Volts DC)</td> <td align="center">4.8V ~ 7.4V</td> </tr> <tr style="background-color: #666666;"> <td>Speed (Second @ 60°)</td> <td align="center">0.19 ~ 0.12</td> </tr> <tr style="background-color: #858585;"> <td>Maximum Torque Range oz. / in.</td> <td align="center">251 ~ 405</td> </tr> <tr style="background-color: #666666;"> <td>Maximum Torque Range kg. / cm.</td> <td align="center">18.0 ~ 29.0</td></tr></tbody></table>

Features

Wide Operating Voltage (4.8 ~ 8.4 Volts DC)

It's like the savöx 1210SG but costs aprox 60€ more here in europe than the savöx

F Hitec. I've had their servos fail in the past, their charger is the only thing I've ever had that has puffed LiPos, and their customer service sucks.

That has been my experience with Savox. I haven't had to use Hitec's customer service yet so I don't know about that. I do know I will never buy a Savox product again. Until I have a problem I'll stick to Hitec. They do what I want when I want it so far.

And I've never had to deal with Savox customer service because I've never had one of their servos fail. Personal experiences are what is responsible for our thinking.

Absolutely. Great to have choices. It would be a pretty boring world if we all just jumped on every band wagon to come along.

How is it waterproof but only dust resistant? Serious question.

I've had the complete opposite experience with Hitec. Customer service has been superb for me and I've been loyal for some 30 years.
