Default New rc crawler motor- Revolver v2! Smaller, lighter, same power!

I've been working on refining some older product lines, and the revolver is on deck! I shaved 15 grams and a lot of rear clearance off the housing for you weight weenies I'm particularly happy with the looks!

Very good appearance has its new motor congratulations, That brings an Out Runner, I am struck by this engine."Pulgares hacia arriba"
A few days ago, I was about to buy the current version of the Revolver, I decided on the Crawlmaster Pro 16 t that is on the way, but I recognize that it would be an interesting option in the short term.

How's the performance compare to the original?

I am currently enjoying the v1 Revolver 540 in my Bomber.

I actually don't mind the sound it emits, but how does the new one compare in that regard?

Very stoked to see continuing improvements in these, may need one for a upcoming build...

(and it DOES look cool, although I like the open bullet chamber style of the original a lot)

Maybe cooler with the impeller noise at high rpm

Performance and magnetics are unchanged. I did remove 7 grams of rotating weight though, so it should technically get a little torque bump from a faster accelerating rotor.

Sound seems a little softer, but I'm not ready to call these quieter. I'm working on an ESC that is less noise.

I'm also a big fan of the original open bullet chamber look (the root of the revolver name), but it was time to let the looks take a back seat to performance and utility. The impeller I designed is lighter, cools better, and is stiffer than an equal thickness flat plate with round holes.

on the whole, pretty well. But not my first choice for those conditions. Trailmaster sport motors are extremely reliable in muck and only $15 or 20 each, which is much more affordable. Although I do have a $35 "Devolver" that was an assembly mistake. Lower quality components than a normal revolver.

Thanks for the information!

I only use HH motors, have 2 Trailmaster Sport 550 21t, a Revolver, and a PP 4100kv about to be dropped into a reworked Bomber.

Glad to hear work is progressing on a new ESC - can't wait to see what you come up with.

Next purchase is likely a v2 SHV500, have a v1 SHV500 still cranking the front end of my Bomber around with authority!

Awesome John, I am seriously considering a Revolver for my '46 build, having recently watched your video comparing the Axe system to a couple of your own systems with Castle ESCs.
This thing looks incredible and I was so impressed with the way the older one performed on your video.
When will RPP have stock?

She tiny!

That’s a cheap 27t and a cheap 13.5t brushless for comparison.

That thing looks rad.

I am ready to get a Revolver v2 but am unsure what ESC to get for it. Seems like the Sidewinder v4 is the ticket but John is also working on something new? ETA on that? The Sidewinder seems to run quieter than the mamba so that's why I was leaning towards the sw4.

What's recommend for gearing for the revolver in a Axial Bomber? Do I need to gear down from stock? Running 3s.

I use a Mamba X and I'm running 64t spur, 12t pinion in my Bomber with a 1800kv Revolver on 3S (and sometimes 4S) - Lovin' it...

John, your products are too good. My original first gen revolver just won't die! Still makes a ton of power and smooth as butter.

It wont be as smooth as the sw4, but it will work.

Revolvers vs torquemaster pro dyno graph. Wasnt able to get the full output torque with revolvers because it was slipping the dyno belt.
