Default Hobbywing 1080 no reverse?

I have a TX Spektrum DX5C, RX SRS6000, and ESC Hobbywing 1080.

I am setting up a new crawler rig and I can't get the reverse to work. The steering and forward work fine but no reverse. I tried adjusting all the trims and the 1080 is set in #1 running mode, 3, I did try 2 still no reverse.

Between the TX and the ESC there are so many adjustments and I can't locate the problem. Any suggestion welcome.

Set the radio to zero trim on everything, bind, then calibrate. I have three rigs on this setup as well.
Make sure the ESC isn't in 'race mode' with double tap reverse to actually reverse. You can connect your programmer card and restore defaults.

I would tend to suspect a throttle calibration problem. Do what the guys suggested above.

Thanks for the help. When I calibrate the throttle, according the HW instructions,
#1 Throttle in neutral position, push set button, one beep and blinks.
#2 Throttle in full forward position, push set button, 2 beeps and blinks.
#3 Throttle in full reverse position, push set button, no beeps or blinks.

I can't calibrate the HW1080 in the reverse position.

I have the TX in a neutral positions. Is there a factory reset default on the DX5C?

How confident are you that the Tx is working properly? Have you got another esc/Rx you could test it with?

It almost sounds like there's an issue with it somehow. The next thing I'd try is reversing that channel 2 on your Tx and see if that changes anything.

I don't know if Tx or Rx is working property. I don't have another Tx or Rx or Esc setup. I can't figure out how to reset the Tx.

I reversed throttle channel #2, and now if if push throttle forward, the motor runs forward. Pull throttle back no response.

I called Horizon Hobby for support and stayed on the phone for over one hour with no response.

I am going to buy a new HW1080 and Futaba setup.

I tried setting mine up for an hour until I figured out MY PROBLEM, I had the transmitter on. When I shut the transmitter off, I was able to complete the programming. I'm sure you know more about this than I do, just relating my experience.

Are you sure you don't have the lead from your esc to the receiver in backwards? That's what this sounds like.

Thanks for all your replies.

I went to my local hobby shop ready to buy new equipment, they said bring the rig in, and they would look at it. After some programming attempts, and then shotgunning parts. It turned out to be a bad receiver. I could not of solved the problem myself for lack of spares.

Many thanks to RC Country in Sacramento for the help.
