Step down regulator

Is it safe to use dc adjustable regulator in a place of bec. Provided it has enough amperage to cover the servo. Specifically for crawlers and 1/10 scale trucks. And why aren't anyone using them?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...54ede66c08.jpg

Re: Step down regulator

More or less that is all a BEC is. As long as you are operating it within the right voltage for the electronics, and it has enough capacity it should be fine. Seems like getting a Castle external 10A BEC would be a simpler rout to go.

3a is why. And that's probably a generous description.
