| SKYRC S65 or B6AC?
hi all, im looking at the following models of chargers: s65 ($70 LHS) B6ac ($50 ONLINE) i currently have 3x nimh (1800, 4000, 5000mah) batteries (tamiya connectors) and soon will be going into the lipo realm. i dont have to charge multiple batteries simultaneously. what is better for the connectors i have? do either models have a function that stops charging when it detects a battery is full? can anyone offer a suggestion on which charger i should choose? or is there a different charger that i have missed or should consider all together? and can anyone suggest what size/brand lipo would run for about 1-1.5hrs? I have a SkyRC b6ac which I am very happy with. I only use it for lipo and it has a full balanced charge capability with full charge cutoff. I use a Gen Ace 3600 shorty in my TRX 4 and get about 1.5 hours trail/crawling with a 21 turn brushed motor. |

I own the older SkyRC S60 and it's perfect. Easy to use and very small for you field bag. I recently went to the SkyRC D100v2 because charging 2 LiPo at the same time is awesome! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

The s65 can test the batteries internal resistance (health/quality). You might need to buy a traxxas to xt60 adapter $5. The b6ac can connect to a pc for cool graphs. It also might come with a traxxas connector. Both of these auto stop at full charge, do balance charging, quick charging, discharging, and storage charging, Storage charging finishes with the batteries at an optimal level for storage and reduces puffing. Both are good, The b6 mini is also a great deal and has the same features as the b6ac. As for battery runtime, that varies between drivers and vehicles. I suggest just getting the biggest one that fits for starters, or a few smaller packs that fit in the pocket if you want better handling. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

As voodoo said above, 2A discharge, balance charge, excellent storage function and 2 separated channels. The phone app is pretty neat, I use it to set the max voltage to 4.18 instead of 4.2 and you get a text message when it's done. You get 2 XT60 cables and 2 pigtail cable that you can solder yourself. The d100v2 is what I use now, it has all the features of the above mentioned. Plus 2 batteries at once. Got it for $100 on ebay last year. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

Personally if I have a pack that's unbalanced and I want to charge it in a hurry I do a regular charge, then I charge the low cell through the balance plug as an individual cell. Of course I don't recomend this. Usualy I alwayse do a balance charge, then when I'm done I run a storage charge. If the cells ever are off by half a volt I assume it's about time to replace the pack. Even if it's not puffed. I don't mess with bad batteries much, I got kids in the house...
