Default sensored motor sensorless esc

Can you run sensored motors on a sensorless esc and have good results? I just ordered a castle sidewinder4 and a holmes puller pro stubby. Just realized the esc is sensorless..

It’ll drive okay. You won’t have the fine low speed resolution that brushless is capable of though. You’ll have some cogging at low speed when you’re trying to just barely apply throttle. If you’re trailing it probably won’t matter. If you’re trying to clear gates in a comp it’s gonna be tough.

The above applies to sensorless in general. Are you asking if the motor will run okay on your esc being that it is sensorless? The answer is yes, it should behave like any other sensorless combo, ie. As mentioned above.
