Default MOA esc setup help

Gday all, just requiring some
Help with my moa bully 2.

Smashed micro sidewinders and using a sanwa M12s
One esc with Bec, and only one esc with the red wire
Connected to rx.
I can only get the esc with red wire to do the initial setup, no matter what I’ve tried I can’t do initial setup for the other, I’ve tried wiring the red wire back in and with no luck. Tried leaving other esc connected but no luck either.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Tom

How is it mixed, and do you have the mix on?

Power them on one at a time.

Just for the initial setup, I had to calibrate the esc's one at a time. All 3 times I set up my MoA.

No idea why. Fortunately you don't need to calibrate them very often.

I have the mix on, the one esc just wont do its initial setup, the lights and beeps etc, its the one without the red wire. I have tried reattaching the red wire and trying again so its as normal but that one esc isn't playing the game. the previous owner had it working fine with his spectrum rx but yeah im struggling a bit

Install the red wire and plug that esc into the slot the other esc was using.

I'd also check to be sure whatever channel the esc that won't initialize is all zeros on the radio. If the thumb lever or trim is off center it's not going to work.

thanks for the reply white trash, I did notice the other day when I was trying it all that I swapped the esc that wont setup into another port on the rx and it went forward on its own so it may be not on all zeros. see how I go.

What I meant by power them on one at a time is since you have one esc calabrated already, unplug it and the calabrated the other one. Reconnect the red wire or move the esc to the main throttle port on the reciever if necessary.

Since the tx is all digital I doubt it's a big deal if you then change it pack to the aux channel. You might want to reset your throttle end points before doing all this too.

I have no idea why I couldent just have both esc's calabrated at the same time but this is how I handled it. My throttle and aux channels are definitely set to match as well.

Yup, what vodoo said, i had that same problem way back when i built my first clod super on 2 mamba 25s, had to pull the bec out, and just reprogrammed each esc invidually, been doing it since.
