Default LiPo 25c vs 50c

What does the 25c and 50c on LiPo packs mean and which one would be better for crawling?

Without going into any type of explanation, most everyone will opt for the higher 50C battery over a 25C battery, no matter the vehicle.

+1...... "C" ratings really come into play with smaller mah packs, if you're running ~2000mah or larger packs (regardless of voltage) "C" is a smaller deal.

The stickies at the top of this forum section will answer the rest if you want to read.

Mah and C ratings go hand in hand, as was mentioned in the article EeePee posted. A 2s5000mah20c pack will net 100amps discharge, which is more than enough for crawlers IMO. Also IMO that pack is very large physically for a crawler. The discharge should only be worried about on smaller packs, as Charlie mentioned.

A 20 to 30C pack is plenty for crawling. 40C and above is good for racing on and offroad, aircraft, and boats.

...depending on capacity. For instance, an 800mah pack would be better at 40c or higher. Whereas a 5000mah pack can do ok at 20c.

That's true. I don't have any lipo's less than 2200. But I guess for a comp crawler, you need small, lightweight lipo's.

They do indeed, my smallest are 1300mah. I know of guys running 800 and less who need some stink for the crazy stuff those comp guys do.
