How do these compare to Holmes?
Materials, construction, etc?

Its a rebranded surpass can. Go have a closer look on amain. Its just a Chinese 5-slot at a very inflated price. Performance / quality can never be as good as a Holmes. They will be cool for the casual trail guys.

That should be illegal or something
They will make sales as high end motors then people are going to say they suck Performance wise and won't buy another "high price motor" since they get the same performance with a cheap Chinese can

Brood has been winding motors since the peak of the brushed motor racing days, no way are they just relabeled China motors. The cans may be similar because there are only a few companies that actually make motor cans.

I’m very aware about their history. Its just funny that its a surpass can and also a skew armature stack... machine wound... the only notable spec difference are the ‘c6’ magnets... It just looks suspicious to me. I have no problem with Chinese manufacturing and understand the manufacturing availability of things. The price jump is the thing thats funny. Double the price of the motors it will be competing with.

Their 540’s use Yokomo end bells, or unbranded units...
