Default Matched Or Mismatched?

Hello all. I've been sporadically crawling for a while now. Most always been with a stock SCX10 II. I lay the shocks down slightly, and call it good lol.
With my most recent, I have an Axial RTR 2000 Jeep Cherokee 10 II. Time to go for it and trick its motor, esc, servo, battery, gearing etc.
I aim to crawl and connect technical rocks sections. No competition, easy life for my SCX10 II. Mostly a friend and I egging each other on. We do technical pretty good.

So... First I have Currie F9 portals on it. The portal reduction made it pretty slow with the stock 35t.
Then I put in a stock Axial 27t. Better but still less snap or speed than a stock SCX10 II.
Looking for that comp style snap of going slow but able to have some wheel speed...

What I have but not run yet (waiting for connectors), is a HW1080 ESC, Savox 1211 steering and a nice (I hope) Reedy Crawler 550 16t 5 slot motor (I also have a HH Trailmaster sport 540 27t for back up).
At this point I have 2s batteries. I will upgrade to 3s soon.
I am stock geared at 13/56 with my only 'gear change' being the portals.

Is this a good match for snappy crawling performance and to keep it running cool? Sorry for the long wind. Thanks.

Switch to 3S before you do anything more.

This, rather than switch out anything else simply volting up will help quite a bit.

Ok, thanks gentlemen. My over driven front F9 portal SCX10 II is performing well going slow. Hopefully a 3s delivers more snap here & there.

The 3s I have on the way is a Protek 120C si-graphene + HV shorty Li-po 11.4v/4100mah. Sounds pretty techie. Fairly budget. My friend has one and he gets 3 + hrs and doesn't drop below 40% with it. Decent battery?

Its a match! The 3s battery pack I just received is the ticket. With the 16t 5 slot & F9 portals (overdriven front) and stock gearing I have a performer, al least for me.
Crawls slooow, stay cool and I have an hour plus run time. ...I was worried on heat.
Thanks for recommending 3s as I was going to stick with 2s. I'm learning...
