4PM programming

Ive got a Futaba 4PM and Axial simple LED controller. Can anyone walk me through the steps necessary to be able to switch ny lights on and off? The owners manual doesn't mention this and I'm at my wits end. LED controller is currently plugged into the channel 3 port. Thanks.

Is this the 6 led controller? I dont think you can with that controller, but it has been many years since ive messed with one. Usually you will need a remote switch like Heyok, mytrickrc etc.

If you have an old servo with bad motor you could decase it and wire it up to be used as a light switch to power the controller though. Similar to that of making a servo winch.

I know it will work because a friend has an earlier version of this radio and it works on his. However, the terminology in the menu is just different enough that we just can’t figure it out.
