Default Time to commit... TQI 4 ch w/ Bluetooth or FS-GT5?

SO I have a 4 channel Traxxas TQI that I run all my stuff on but one of my 4 channel receivers died today... So I was about to buy the $40 replacement and started down the rabbit hole of the Flysky GT5 6 channel radio.

Some hate some love it.

My TQI is loaded with bluetooth and so its not a bad radio really. I have never felt the need to upgrade it but now I am thinking should I swith to the FS-GT5?

Who here has run both? Would love to hear from some who have them both.

I am curious if the bluetooth and app on my TQi is not any better than the FS-GT5 with the onscreen controls.

Thanks in advance!

I use and love both. You can't go wrong with a GT5. I only miss the cruise control at the GT5.

I use the GT5 and love it on my TRX4 bronco. Being able to lock each diff independently with channel 5/6 up top is rather nice. I use the 3 position toggle switch for the transmission and third channel on off for my LED lights. I love that controller. I wish other brands would copy that design style too. I had the spectrum rugged, and MEh. I hated it and sold it here.

GT5 all the way if you ask me. I have two and have had ZERO issues with mine. For the price, nothing beats it.

Thanks guys I ordered one comes tomorrow. I’ll keep my tqi for a week or so and compare before I commit to it. I didn’t think about the advantage of another channel honestly. I was more concerned with setup, quality and range. But sounds like it’s a good option.
