Hacking flysky fsgt3c for 4ws? Help

Hi guys, I really like my fsgt3c as its a nice well made budget radio that decreases the amount of radios on your wall, and was only $60 with cheap receivers. I see the "hack" is a firmware re-flash. I'm having a hard time currently finding what I need to accomplish said reflash. I'm curious what you guys have done currently. Heard overkill rc is closed for good too...

In addition I'm curious if I can get away with using the 3ch receivers I currently have.

you need a st-link programer and the wires that go with it the wires need to be soldered to the pc board there is a huge thread about it in the forum and some great videos on you tube
should be less than $5 in parts and its so worth it

Yup, not tough at all, you will need the 6 or 8 ch rx though, only about another 10.00

Thanks, I think I found a decent video, I'm just a little confused on what 90° female pin connector I need to solder to the board so I can conveniently plug in the radio to the st programmer without taking it apart again. I've been digging around on what thread has the best info kind of a little lost. Overkill rc's website is no more I think too... Is there a link to the best thread?

I just picked up one of these tx/rx for $10 id like to hear more about hacking it.

Solder the leads to the board. No reason once flashed correctly to ever look at it again, as no more firmware updates will come. I fretted and the pins caused more issues than hardwired. Leads will tuck inside, no issues

Not me being lazy, I just don't know what to search for, for the best info on this hack.
I think I sorta found the thread, I just feel lost in it cause its so gigantic.

This seems like a bit of a scary endeavor as well too lol.

itsnthe gt3b hack thread since both the gt3b and gt3c models are basickly the same it works for.both its a huge thread i know but just about every question you would have would be layed out in that thread if you can make it through the whole thread it will give you a good idea as to what your looking at

i watched every video about it on you tube also and tbat realy helped clarify whats sead in this thread it took me about a year after getting my controler before i took the plunge i must have watched each vid 2 or 3 times and then would pause the vid during each step and to make sure i had it right o ce the wires are soldered and you figure out witch wires conect to were on the programer the rest was cake the actual programing is simple the program for your pc mostly walks you through

good luck i know it feels like you just took a semester of computer programing classes in a few hours but its worth it even if you only hack one controler

the videos on you tube realy helped me once i decided to do the hack then read the thread again and if you have any questions ask them there

theres also videos just about setting it up for your needs
and take pictures when your doin it for your own referance

I did put in a 90-degree pin connector, I thought it was cleaner (and I had pretensions of building my self a custom version of the FW), but as others have said, there's no need to

I loved my GT3C, but for 60 bucks the GT5 with 4WS out the box is so much easier IMO. I do admit, I miss the lipo battery over the AA's I have to use on the GT5. But thats it!

Don’t overthink this, follow the video, solder 4 wires..... flash.
