1000oz....

At that point you are not trying to drive over them, but using steering to push them out of the way...

Chai-nah!

Futaba makes a servo that puts out that much power and it's $250.

The A700 is only $155, but buy a few to make the wait worth it a little more. But yes retail pricing is $250 for some reason.

I'm just annoyed that they are using the model number #777...

(see my signature below - also my license plate has triple 7's, my lucky number!)

We sell a few of these. The attack on the coal industry is killing our potential sales going forward tho.

When I had a question about my 555, I sent them an email and he called me the next day to discuss on the phone. They were also responsive to messages on Facebook when I had a question.

It's quiet and powerful. It's worked well. The support is good. I don't see what there is to complain about so far, but then again, I'm new and my rigs are also.

The fact they are rebranded doesn't really bother me, many products sold in the US under US companies are whitelabeled goods manufactured in Asia and sold under another name in the US. The difference between buying direct from the factory and through the US company is typically support and quality assurance. If you have an issue with one you purchase direct from the factory in Asia, good luck getting help. TBH this seems kindof like an odd complaint and I'm a bit surprised to see it be so prevalent in a hobby where the majority of components are manufactured in Asia. If you have quality/support concerns, that's reasonable, but it seems odd to me that the majority of complaints I see here are based on their being rebranded, Asian manufactured components alone

I've got a 555 in my Enduro and a 500v3 in my 4-10 (and my Capra) and there is a night and day difference between the two. One of the guys I crawl with posted a video the JRH facebook page of the two trucks next to each other. I'm sold from here on out on direct power servos. I may not try the 777 initially but I would like to try the G13, but at this point I'm happy with the 500v3!! I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if I end up with another crawler.

I have a 555 in my venture. It has done alright. I had one in a wraith. It didn't like something and locked up on me. Warranty claim processed though with a bit of pushback from the man. Not the easiest warranty/repair claim I have had. Hitec was smooth sailing and I have not had much issue with the hitecs beyond that one experience. The futaba I put in the Capra is amazing. I'll grab a Holmes to try next time. I'm not into budget options that inevitably let me down.... Well I have an eco power in a dancing rider that is ok....

Hitec has had programmable servos for like 10+ years and I would be shocked if more than 5% of owners ever bought the programmer. Clearly it was a great need in the marketplace.

Go figure. I thought it might be a niche thing...just not this niche so much! Can't imagine too much parameter adjustment we'd need that couldn't be done on the TX.

Don't forget that Tekin also has programmable servos now. I don't know if the competition has this, but with Tekin you can control the rotation so, basically, any of their servos can be turned into winch servos with programming alone.
