|  please help this noob fix his TRX4 lightbar
So it looks like I somehow ripped the lightbar connectors and I'm not sure how to put it back together. Pictures below are what it looks like now and what it's supposed to look like. The two pronged connector looks like it has just one wire going to it which looks to be connected already. I'm just confused why there looks like a shredded piece of wire attached to the second prong. Does anyone know what the name of the other female looking connector type is? Traxxas wouldn't tell me the name of it of course..   |

Those are standard 0.1" spacing headers (male with the pins sticking out and female w/o pins). From your pictures it looks like all you have to do is solder the broken wire back on to the the other pin. I would also add some heat shrinking tubes for insulation and protection. Should be easy peasey fix.

What/where is this being plugged in to? Do you have soldering skills, or know someone that does? |

Thanks for the help in identifying the female connector. Yes, i intend to solder it myself I have some experience. I'm still confused as to why the male connector has a frayed wire since it only has one wire going to it in the second reference picture. The blue/black split wire will be soldered to the female connector. I added another picture to make it more clear:  |

The problem is in the stock photo, the wires are coiled up and it's hard to see what goes where.

perhaps this will help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUhruvoUQjc I would assume the singe wire is high/low switch (probably optional, and it looks like some one shortened it) (possible to use a pc jumper cover to make a connection.) and i also assume the pairs are black negative and blue positive. Total guesses though. |

also be very aware this light bar seems to be 3v, so a connection to a lipo may destroy it. test it with a watch battery first, or a power supply where you can limit the amps really low.
