| What are ya'll running for servos?
been out of the game for a bit and just completed a scx10iii. I used a HS7950TH that I had laying around and it works great. I'm about to pick up another scx10iii kit and will need a servo. I keep seeing all these different brands of servos that are out now but don't know if they are worth a crap or not. Last time I was involved in the hobby Savox servos were the new thing. So what are all you guys running these days?

Do you have an approximate budget? If yes, sharing it will help narrow the responses you get. Personally I use the DS3218MG from Amazon. It's ok. It's cheap. It's stronger that what comes with RTRs, but you can obviously do much better. |

Using a Savox 1210SG myself, never found myself needing more, no issues. Could have longer leads though.

Thanks all. I went with the savox 2290. Not sure if I'm totally impressed, or if I'm not feeding it enough voltage. But it seems to stall relatively easily. My HS-7950TH has more power. Kinda upset because I bought 2 of them that my LHS had on special for $119 each.

Savox 2290 (hums) Holmes Hobbies SHV500v2 (silent) Holmes Hobbies SHV500v3 (hums) I hear if your order from Holmes Hobbies website they can turn it down to reduce the hum on request. I really like the Holmes v2 servos silent and powerful plus direct to battery connection so no need for a BEC. |

What ESC? That thing draws up to 7.5A at 6 volts. That's probably why you aren't happy with it. |
