| Sc400x vs 1080wp
So I have a Capra kit built. I am currently running a reedy sc400x esc with the reedy 5 slot 16t. I only run 3s. My issue is that there is no crawl speed sensitivity. I geared all the way down to the smallest 11t pinion I could. It will crawl don’t get me wrong, but low speed control is just crap. So my question is , is the hobbywing a noticeable upgrade to the reedy?

I didn’t even run my SC400X esc in my Trailrunner. I swapped it out for a Hobbywing 1080. |

Buy an HW 1080WP and toss that other thing in your scrap parts box. The only time I would install an SC400X into a rig would be to sell it.

just because I had an extra laying around, when I was finishing up prepping my Tamiya M-08 RWD Mini onroad, I threw a 1080 and a Holmes 13t CrawlMaster in it and it's completely nuts on 3S... As a perfect example of what you can do with the old SC400X, I'm going to swap it and the Element 15t motor into that little runner to try to make it more controllable. Then, of course - the 1080 and the Crawlmaster are going into the Enduro! |
