Axe 550 discontinued?

Is the axe 550 discontinued?

I ordered one 3300kv from a main hobby and my order was canceled because the item is now discontinued.

So is it just amainhobby or it’s really discontinued?

Also even on hobby wing it’s not possible to order one

I was just released.
I just got mine about 2 weeks ago.

Perhaps they had so many orders for them, the stock is all sold out already.
This was the first shipment of the 550 setups since it was released I think.

I can't imagine they would disco them being they were literally just released.

My guess is what stock came in, was already sold via pre order.

Unless something is seriously wrong with them. Which I hope isn't the issue. I have the RedCat G8 Axe, and the 3300 system on the Class 2 SSD/RC4WD Blazer Rig.

I just talked to the amainhobbies support and they confirmed this product has been discontinued

Maybe a 1.2 version is coming

Interesting. I heard about these overheating somewhat frequently in situations when they shouldn’t have, seemed like it was almost always a TRX4 or TRX6.

Well, that is interesting. Ive not had any overheating issues with my 2 setups. one in the RedCat AXE and the 2nd 550/3300kv in my SSD/RC4WD Class 2 build.

I wonder if they (hobbywing) would swap these old units out if they release a new one seeing this system is less than 6 months old.

Our local distributor said a new version is coming out very soon that's why they stopped shipping out the previous version. Have the old system and waiting to get the new ones too.

V2 Axe systems have been shipping. I just got one about a month ago. Had to wait for the ship to clear customs before HW shipped it to me.

Likely, the stock has been sold out again, and they are waiting for the new stock to clear customs again.
