Drag Brake Help I have a 6.4lb Capra I just built. HH 16t Crawlmaster Pro and a HW 1080. All the settings on the 1080 are for maximum drag brake but it still won't hold the truck on a steep hill. I'm fairly new to crawling so still trying to learn. Any suggestions on what I can do fix it? Better ESC? I have a HW Axe 550 on my 8.5lb TRX and if the tires will hold then the brake will hold so I'm pretty spoiled. |
Re: Drag Brake Help Possibly your throttle trim setting?.? I’d say make sure it’s zeroed. |
Re: Drag Brake Help THe HW 1080 is a fine esc, but it doesn't have an active drag brake. Gearing down may help, but it will reduce your top speed. A BRXL esc from Holmes has an active drag brake which should allow your rig to stay put on steeper descents, but it is much more expensive than the 1080. |

Thanks for the responses everyone. |
Re: Drag Brake Help Of course there aren't any BRXL's to be found on the internets. Apparently they are in short supply. grrrrr |
