Axial Capra with HW 1080 and Reef's 555

Has anyone setup the Capra with the following? Do you think I will need a BEC? If yes, which one do you recommend with how many Amp rating (10 or more)?

- Axial Capra Kit
- HW 1080 ESC
- Reef's 555 Servo
- Flysky GT5 Radio Receiver
- SX107 Dig Servo
- Tattu 3s LiPo Battery 75C (11.1V)

I suggest using a 10A BEC in everything.

You'll likely want a BEC as that servo pulls over 4.3 amps at 6 volts per RC Review's tests (more at 7.4 volts obviously).

The 1080 bec is only rated to 3 amps.

The Castle 2.0 BEC is PLENTY to handle this servo, but I can't recommend it because I don't own, and have never used one.

I agree you'll definitely want to use a BEC with that servo.

I use the Castle 2.0 waterproof BEC in almost all of my rigs. It's expensive, but it's worth the price IMHO.

Welcome to the site. I'd recommend a better servo, but yes you should use a BEC with a power hog servo.

You could get a Holmes SHV500v3 and have a better servo and you can power it direct so you don't need to be bothered with a BEC.

Thanks everyone. Ended up with a Castle 2.0 Waterproof BEC and Holmes splitter.
