New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling Someone on Instagram posted the new Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC for Rock Crawling. I can't find anymore info other than that but from what I saw... it was.. ESC on Motor setup. - Branded under Hobbywing's Quicrun line - 540 Brushless Motor 1800kv (The can looks like a 550, but the poster said it was 540 and the additional length is the ESC) - 40A ESC on the motor with Programming card - XT60 connectors 2-3S Lipo compatible. Or 6-9 cell NIMH. 7.2-11.1V 6V/7.4V adjustable 4A switching BEC 1200 or 1800 KV 4 pole motor option. #30120400 and 30120401 Pinion Shaft - 3.175x16 mm (1/8th In) It's supposed to be a straight plug and play system. Might be a nice more budget friendly alternative to the AXE system since it's under the Quicrun line rather than the XERun line. Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling ESC on the motor? Isn't there some kind of interference going on while the motor is running? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

I'm guessing that might be a thing of the past. I have Losi's (well Dynamite's) brushless motor/ESC combo for the Mini T 2.0 and it works just fine. It is nice to see a more budget friendly FOC setup at least hopefully. The AXE system is hard to come to terms with due to its cost and proprietary nature. |
Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling IIRC, back in 2015 Team Orion had one - the Vortex dDrive 2-in-1 power unit... |
Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling I like it, price comes down a tick, I’ll probably pick one up. |
Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling In the video he says it is not sensorless but is designed for crawlers. Does the mean it maybe jittery at low speeds compared to the sensorless mother’s with separate speed controllers. |

Its a whole different control system called FOC: (heres a link, not related to crawlers specifically) https://www.trinamic.com/technology/...ented-control/ |
Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling I like the idea. If you've got room it might make a scale truck less cluttered. |
Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling wow yeah if the price could drop a drop I would be right there |
Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling Wow! my pants just got a little tighter. |
Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling Well... the Quicrun Fusion 1800kv is now available at Asiatees. |

Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling Good find. It's still FOC though so so it'll be interesting to see if it works differently than the AXE. Who's going to be the guinea pig? |
Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling I might get one of these if the price is right, but it's just a bit too slow for a brushless motor, if only they had something in the 2300 range. Could just run a oversized pinion though. Edit: On second thought, it is a 40a esc, so probably not. |
Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling I’m going to try one |

I didn't realize this was an all in one unit where the ESC is built into the motor. That's very cool. I wish more companies would do this, but at the same time make them serviceable so either the ESC or motor can be replaced rather than having to buy the entire thing if one part of it fails. |
Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling I have one in hand, but it might be a while before I get around to putting it to use. As of right now, I'm probably putting this in my Enduro Kit build, but there are some things I want to try on the kit build as far as 3D printed parts go. I've been happy with the Axe 2300kv in my Capra, so I thought I'd try this out since the packaging intrigues me with how I might be able to lay things out. |
Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling Just got the fusion and installed it in my Enduro. This is my first brushless system, so.. yeah, not much experience. First impression after driving for about 30 mins in my backyard - Love the FOC system, how it modulates the torque to keep the speed constant irrespective of the obstacle you are going over - Extremely quiet at low speeds. Since there is no fan, at crawling speeds, there is literally no sound from the rig! - 1800Kv, so dont expect any bashing speeds. I dont have a speed measuring tool, but with the stock gearing on the enduro with 12% overdrive, i would guess it barely touches 7 MPH - Love the flexibility it gives me from the perspective of weight management. I am aiming for a low weight crawler (6lbs) and this thing is smidge lighter than my HH crawl master 13t 550 motor i was running before this. And no extra weight of the ESC anymore. So, i am planning to move my receiver next to the servo and get rid of the floor boards. |
Re: New Hobbywing Quicrun Fusion 2-1 FOC Brushless motor/ESC Combo for Rock Crawling I like the idea and price, but I don't know if I can get onboard with the 1800kv motor. You can get a Holmes stubby and mamba micro x for $8 more and get more wheel speed. You get a weaker BEC in the castle, but a bat powered servo solves that. Weight is similar between the 2 systems. The all-in-one fusion will be better for some and the shorter motor of the stubby will be better for others. Nice to have options just wish it was a tad faster. Sent from my SM-T820 using Tapatalk |
