Default Suggested Setup?

I am running an Everest 10 rc crawler with the stock battery. IDK if that's important.
I want to run a camera on a gimbal and the brightest LED lights possible.

Reasons: I am a home inspector and I'm trying to set up an rc crawler that I can crawl under homes with and snap pictures of damages in those dark spaces.

I'm a noob, yes I admit it.

ANY help would be nice, but I really need advice on the whole setup, if possible.

Also, I assume I should run this kit (camera, gimbal w/servos, and LED lights) off of it's own battery supply?

First...change to Lipos
Second...get a better ESC than the original.

If ESC, Hobbywing 1080. About $42 shipped. Not sure you need to upgrade the ESC. Check the manual to see if Lipo batts can be used. If they can be used, there is probably a setting to change from NiMH batt to Lipo. Or skip Lipo batt and get another NiMAH pack or two to swap fresh batt as needed.

If Lipo, 2S lipo batt would be fine. Guessing 2000mAh would run at least 1+30. Or get a larger mAh, maybe 5200mAh to run multiple houses all day and charge overnight (pay attention to Lipo charging/safety).

MyTRickRC.com has halo lights and/or lightbars, etc.. I have not seen them in person but I hear they are quite bright. There are others and I'm sure others have more suggestions.

Can't help you w/ gimbal vid setup, but I know plenty use GoPro or similar camera. Gimbel setup may be more difficult than driving to see specific area. Might be a pain to if you do it a lot. ???.

Try your local hobby shop for info, or they may be able to install items needed for your purpose.

Good luck!

All great suggestions.

I'll probably wait to upgrade the ECS or Battery for now. I took it out of the box and ran it for 45 minutes the first night, trying to kill the battery and charge it from dead...IDK if that's the right protocol but I did it. The next night I ran it for just about an hour before I got bored and put it up.

I will only need it for 15-30 minutes runtime under homes (Remember, I bought this for work, not play...but it is super fun! lol tax right off bishes!

I expect the battery life to be cut in half at least, with light bars and a camera running. I'll probably want to upgrade the battery at that point.

I think I saw somewhere that the rig is set up for a lipo battery. Or at least I see a lot of online videos with upgraded lipo bats.

Maybe a GoPro on a drone gimbal? For a light, I would look at Light n Motion stuff. Fantastic rechargeable lights, and they make a "sidekick" version for a GoPro.

The stock esc should be fine for what you want it to be. Its a 1040 variant?

NiMh batteries will be the cheapest option for what you need too, I think. They’re not as fussy as lipo and you can go for a long time with a 5000mah. You can also charge them while you drive on a 12v peak charger without any worries of your vehicle catching alight.

There are loads of led lighting options out there. You just need to figure out what you need it to do in the space you will use it.

Don’t know about the camera. You will obviously need something with a decent resolution or pixel count.

I have one of these LED light bars on my TRX4, and can be mounted on roof, or front bumper. And let me tell you, its SUUUUPER bright!! Just like 1:1 light bars! Lets just say more have complained, then complimented. Lol!

I know sharegoo stuff usually kinda sucks, but i realllly love this lightbar, and for the price? Heck-yeah!!!
