Default This might be the BEST BUDGET brushed ESC out there

We got one of these Rocket 80a ESC's to test and see how well it done in our crawlers. Not only does it outperform others that we've had in the past, it really surprised us for the price point in which it's sold at. For around $30 or less, this is one of the best we've found. It has a feature called initiative hold which helps to hold your crawler in place even on really steep inclines.

We do have a video to show how it performs. If you have questions, feel free to ask. We check our channel comments daily, and try to respond to all valid questions.

It sucks. Ordered 1 of banggood, a 550 combo. The Rx output is unstable as well as output to the motor. I would stick to hobbywings1080. Haven't tested the motor with other esc n if not wrong it outta be ok, I think! Sorry to have to say this n just do not want ppl to be mislead.

That thing is huge. I ordered a Surpass 10t 5slot 550 and I like it, but it took 3 weeks to show up from China. But as far as ESCs go ill stick to the 1080.

We actually bought this from our local hobby shop, and it's personally the best one we have found. It was 25.99 USD, and we typically run mid-range esc's in ours (hobbywing, surpass hobby, etc)

We typically use Hobbywing 1060 or 1080, and we had bought this on a whim from our local hobby shop since they were out of Hobbywing systems at the time. I personally compare it to a Holmes Hobby, but thats just my opinion.

It comes compare to Holmes Hobby, in my opinion. It definitely doesn't replace it by any means, but is very comparable.

We do reviews of different cheap products on our channel, so we can show an *honest* review of these products. We don't want anyone wasting their money, by any means -- rather from local shop or online seller. Basically, we buy them ourselves, test them out, and then show them to show what they are capable (or not capable) of. In our opinion, this is one of the better ones that we have gotten our hands on. We have tried out several brands & combinations, and will continue to do so. We do not get free products to review. We buy them ourselves, and then do the review so that if it's not what it's supposed to be, other people don't waste their money on a product that won't hold up.

I have tried it. It works perfectly. Don’t knock it til you try it. That’s why I do the videos, to provide video proof on rather the product works or not. If it doesn’t work, I will say so. Nothing held back.

If you want proof that we do our videos based on our genuine reviews, rather than someone getting paid to do it, check out the surpass hobby esc that went up in smoke on our channel that we done an actual review on.

Who is "we"? Reminds me of Bob Dole always speaking of himself in 3rd person. I agree with ferp on this one, sounds like you're pushing something. Wether that's selling a product or fishing for youtube views, doesn't matter to me. I've bought a few products from Surpass with no complaints, but I'm not going to kid myself and claim they are the best in their class, not even when it comes to budget. To me, budget means value, and sometimes (often) you get a better value by spending a bit more to get a product that performs better, or has already proven itself reliable. Now if you had said "CHEAP esc that's actually worth a $4!+" it might have been believable, but I picked up a couple WP880's for $28 that still hold that spot for me.

Me & my wife both put into the channel, so I frequently say we since it’s both of us working on it. I was giving the comparison of the ESC vs. the Holmes Hold. The Rocket ESC does compare to that. The truck, motor & esc combo have outperformed TRX-4’s & comp chassis’ in Comps with this specific setup that’s shown in the video.

If you don’t believe me, try one out for yourself. Give us a honest review & run video with it. Then explain to us for yourself why it’s such an unworthy system.
