Default Spektrum Smart Batteries Discharge

Hi All,
Charged my Spektrum 2S 50C Smart LiPo 7.4V/5000mAh batteries last week did not get a chance to use them.
Went to charge this morning and they are topped off already. Obviously the Smart Discharge did not work as intended.
They were set to discharge after 72-hrs. Any ideas what happened ?
Thanks,
Uncle Pete

From Horizon

‘“Once the discharge process begins (in this case after 72 hours no use) it takes a while for the batteries to discharge to storage voltage from full charge since it uses a very low discharge rate. Not enough time had elapsed for the discharge process to complete in this instance. If the cells were still at full charge, the battery is ready for use. If the rest period had been many weeks, the battery would be at or closer to storage charge and need to be charged back. The main purpose of the self discharge feature is to prevent the cells from discharging unequally from a full charge when at rest so that the battery remains balanced when storing a charged pack.”

I just started using the smart batteries and mine seem to be doing the discharging properly. I have them set to discharge after 48 hours. I checked them once after about 5 days since I charged them and they were all at storage level. now my batteries are all smaller, 1300 mah an 2200 mah so not sure if that makes them take longer or not.
