Check this out. This is a result of an item becoming a common term in RC. Kind of like Band-Aid. Nobody cares if it's a Curad. If you say "revolver" in regards to crawling everyone has a good idea what you're talking about - an outrunner from Holmes. I was browsing crawler related items on ebay and found these motors with the revolver name... http://cgi.ebay.com/REVOLVER-550-CRA...QQcmdZViewItem Seems that the idea here is that someone will see a "revolver" on ebay and snap it up.

Kershaw Designs and Axle-Snapper are not the same people, but they could be the same motors. Those are just generic long cans. Kershaw has been around for some time and they offer some awesome power packages for the E-Maxx and others. Check them out... http://home.comcast.net/~milemarkers/

The slogan cracks me up, "When just plain Modified won't do" When you think about it, how much more plain and unmodified could that motor get?

I have to say that Kershaw Designs is well respected in the Nitro to E-Conversions. I just worked with them on a Savage Conversion to Brushless. They take the time to custom build a mount and ESC/Motor combo. Dan is a great guy to deal with. These revolvers are probably his chance to get into the crawler market. Hmmmmm....

He is definitely not some sort of fly by night scammer. He also sold 5-6mm pinions back when everyone was using gear reductions. Last edited by Fishmaxx; 03-01-2007 at 09:51 AM. | |
