| New Holmes Servo - SHV800
JRH is a busy man and doesn’t get on here much anymore but this choice bit of info hit FB today. 1000 oz of torque on 3S and 1300 on 4S. I’m going to need a couple of these and figure out which trucks to convert to 4S power. Oh, there is also a Holmes SHV servo winch coming soon too. |

These look to be the new hotness for sure. Already seen plenty of fawktards on bookface asking why anyone needs this much power. Who are YOU to say what I need? I want more power and I'll gladly pay for it. You don't want it so no need to buy it, nobody is forcing it on you.

| Re: New Holmes Servo - SHV800 It’s an internal spool design with an aluminum case machined for servo winch duty, 2-4S capable with built in controller, and supposed to be crazy fast on the line speed for comp use. The official release on that was supposed to be the end of this week so I’m guessing they will be available soon.

I was told they should cost around $150, if it changes from that I assume it would only go up though, because there is little wiggle room in cutting the cost without loosing quality.

| New Holmes Servo - SHV800 Quote: Thanks for the specs sticker! I wonder if it’s underrated like they did with the shv500v3? That’s crazy. Lol. Basically because you know that’s what the servo will pull in real life. I found an awesome RC servo testing channel on YouTube beginning of December that unfortunately seemed to of gone poof. Very very objective testing and I would of loved to see him get his hands on this. Last edited by Benp; 01-23-2021 at 06:57 PM. | |

Their servo videos seem pretty good, though I wish they'd just publish a spreadsheet of the results or something instead; and have individual videos for each servo or something. | |

Nope not RC review. Was called something like RC servo tester. It’s too bad it disappeared. His testing to me was very objective. While I do like RC reviews channel, they have done some things that left me scratching my head testing wise. |
