| Smart charger?
I’ve been using the Venom pro Duo for about 2 years. I know there must be better out there. The Venom seems out dated. I mostly charge at home so plugged in to the wall, but occasionally I charge from my car. Any recommendations for a smart charger? Also everything I have uses xt60 plugs.

I like the SkyRC D100 or the S65 if you don't need dual. Pretty easy to use and you can setup / monitor everything from your phone. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

| Smart charger? I believe the Hobbymates are rebranded Hotas. I’m running the Hota D6+ and am very pleased with it, which is a variant of the D6 Duo pros. Banggood has the Hota D6 Duo Pro for $112 and D6+ for $119 right now. Down side is it took a month to get here but I wasn’t needing a charger right now. Hopefully @Kingmeow will see this thread, he has really good input regarding chargers. There was a great thread a few months ago about smart chargers so maybe check that out. ETA- Found it. Lots of good discussion. Reccomend a dual charger? https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/top...ink_source=app Last edited by Benp; 02-18-2021 at 09:23 AM. |

The D6 has good specs for something a little over $100. It can do 325 watts x 2 on DC supply voltage greater than 24V and with AC power, you can go up to 300 watts total with a cap of 200 watts on a single channel. If you get this, it will put that Venom Pro Duo to shame. Not that the Venom is a bad charger but technology has been advancing. I'm sure the chargers 2-3 years from now will make the D6 look weak. The fact that it's a dual channel and with pretty good specs for each channel, you will probably not need a new charger for a long time if you get the D6. Put parallel charging on each channel and go to town! With up to 200 watts per single channel, it makes parallel charging sensible. |
