Default whats a good 4ws/dig radio?

Looks like my hacked Flysky gt3b finally broke. Been out of the rc world for a bit. Is there a a newer 4ws transmitter these days thats more user friendly? one that takes the Flysky receivers would be awesome. I also have a rig with both 4ws and dig. Price is important. Thanks!

Not that you need another post agreeing with the gt5 but I got one about 1.5 years ago when I added 4 wheel steer to a truck and needed a better transmitter to handle it. I now use that gt5 for most of my trucks.

Will the GT5
take my old flysky gt3b receivers? I am not worried about gyros. Thanks you guys! Much appreciated

Everything I’ve read about it in the past is that they are not compatible. Early version using AFHDS (signal?) vs AHFDS2. I have both and always assumed they we’re not compatible based on reading I did before I bought the other one. However, when I get home tonight I’ll give it a shot and try to bind just for kicks and let you know what happens.

I just gave it a shot for fun and I couldn’t get it to bind which was expected. Unfortunately the upgraded model is not compatible with the receivers you have. I still think the GT5 is worth it as the receivers are still reasonably price compared to other brands. Everything is pretty outrageously marked up right now and even the GT5 controller is running about 15 bucks more than when I paid for it. I actually picked up a 3b not that long ago because I wanted something cheaper with reasonably priced receivers for a couple of Tamiya kits I was planing / building. If you were patient you could probably find a new 3b for $30. The prices for these things seem to be all over the place and I bought it when I was able to find it for 30 bucks. You would be starting over with having to hack it.

No the newer and older are a different setup, and don't bind.

That said get another GT3b ?

Hacking is still cheap and easy to do.

Myself, Been there and flysky'd out...My Futaba is easily the better feel, and cheap rx can be had.

I've had great results with the DX5c with 4WS in my Sherpa with Capra axles. Nothing against the FlySky, but I like the feel of the Spektrum.

I'll just add a 2nd vote for Spektrum. Thats all I have experience with and setup was pretty straight forward.

The flysky It4s does 4ws. Really easy to program it to do it with its touch screen and it can use the AFHDS and AHFDS2 receivers. Its just a setting you select when binding the receiver.

Should be able too. there is a 3way selector switch up high and a two way momentary switch a bit lower so the 3way selector should work for the Dig.

I don't have a dig setup on any of my current rigs so can't 100% confirm.

but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
