Default Quieter options for whiney SCX?

I’ve got a little bit of a mutt build, SCX10.2 builder kit with my original SCX10 electronics.

I’m tired of the loud whine, both the electronic high pitch one that comes from the esc I assume, as well as the mechanical whine that comes from the motor and transmission.

Are there any good budget options for some equipment that’s going to run quieter? It’s kinda of embarrassing sometimes how loud it is.

I know it’s the electronics section, but if you have transmission suggestions as well feel free to chime in.

The HW 1080 and HH torquemaster ESCs come to mind. the HH ESC has a silent mode and the 1080 has different options for the frequency, one being silent.

I love the sound of a nice HH brushed 5 slot motor. No motor will be silent but these at least sound good.
