Default Spectrum Firma 2-in-1 Brushless Crawler Motor/ESC: 2300Kv

I did a search and didn’t see any threads on this new FOC combo. I was looking at the Hobbywing FOC all in one, but it’s only 1800kv and I’d like just a bit more speed than stock (obviously I want the best of both worlds with great crawling too). This would be for a TRX-4 2021 Bronco. I have a HW1080 and Holmes 21T motor already for the Bronco, but I’ve never had a brushless crawler. My Bomber has a HW1080 and Traxxas 21T motor that has worked great for years.

Thoughts please?

I have the same HW1080 and Holmes 21t motor in my TRX4 Sport and it's pretty damn good. That being said, I have the HW Fusion 1800kv in a SCX10.2 and it's faster, smoother, and crawls slower than the combo in my TRX4. The Spectrum 2300kv Fusion is made by HW so I don't see any issues with using it. Go for it!

As with most...maybe even all...Spektrum ESCs, it is made by Hobbywing. Interestingly, with certain Spektrum ESCs, you can program them with either the Spektrum or Hobbywing cards...and with other Stories ESCs, you must use the Spektrum programmer.

I put one in a Knight Runner yesterday for a friend. Easy install with a little more pep than the original motor/esc. I Like someone else noted, this version requires the Spektrum programming card (I didn't try the card from my 1080 but could later). Simple install with plenty of length on the battery wires and signal wires.

Thanks for the info. I wasn’t aware of the HW Spectrum connection.

Question for anyone that might have gotten this combo. Does the Hobbywing Fusion program card work on the Spektrum version, or do you have to use the Spektrum card with the Spektrum motor combo?

I didn't try a card from a 1080, I used the spektrum card.

Discovered a few days ago that Nitro Hobbies got a few in stock. Not sure exactly how many they received, but, when I ordered mine a few days ago, they had 3. Mine was delivered today.
