i would say the mamba x is better but not by much but noticabley

it seems the smaller outrunners are smoother than the larger ones

i would think the hh snub nosed v2 would have better start up than a standerd sized hh outrunner

i dont know what kinda space you have to work with but i think the sw4 1/8 version is good to 6s also the mm2 will take 6s too but both of those are huge
and i do t know if the sw4 8th has the new programing that the 10th scale version has but it might be worth looking in to if you have the space for it

im running some pretty small 1800kv outrunners. smaller than what holmes offers. i will try the esc you mentioned, if they dont work well for startup ill try out some castle stuff.

theres these i have 2 i use on outrunners but its only 2s capable but the rigs that run them are buttery smooth
im runing them on the gold colored chinese outrunners a 2212 2200kv on a mrc platform and a 3530 1700kv in my d12 with no pinnion or spur just a direct drive to the transmission/tcase
and there so quite they hardly make a sound
Look at this on eBay

I'm using the AG Innovations Ninja esc on 4s with a 2500kv 3bros Acis motor. I don't use outrunners, but apparently it silences them, hence the ninja name. It's 6s capable, has a heat sink, and motor plugs come attached right to the circuit board. Cleanest setup I've seen so far. I have an earlier version with built in bec to power the receiver, while using a direct power steering servo. The new ones don't have a bec, due to users using them incorrectly, but NSDRC has a $10 micro bec that'd work great with it.
