I'm looking for a new servo for my daily driver rig mainly because the noise from my current one is making relaxing crawls not so relaxing. The motor's quiet, transmission's quiet, but the servos just always buzzing even at neutral. My question is how quiet are the SHV800 and 650 servos? I did some digging on google and youtube, but it's hard to get a definitive answer, especially over the noise of outtrunner motors, so I wanted to get some firsthand information. From Holmes's new video of the SHV500LP, it sounds very quiet, but is that also true for the 800 and 650 servos? Thanks! |

If you want quiet, buy a Promodeler, simply put they are the best servos you can buy. they have a few servos in that torque range, depending on your budget. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

the SHV800's are very quiet not a peep as are also the new brushless holmes motors and esc's I have 2 800's mounted flat belly on my trx4 and they are quiet even at work and I run them at 4s so it will flip the truck over if I jerk the steering too hard on a hill!

Alright, thank you guys for the replies. I think the shv800 is the way to go, although they all seem to be out of stock right now, so I'll have to wait

I was wondering if you had a source. I have a feeling the 800’s may not come back, the initial release price was $159 or so, but Holmes put them on sale for $119 to “clear some shelf space”. My guess is they will release a new version that uses a single lead ala the shv500lp and the shv650. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | |

The Reefs servos are near dead silent. Even the 422hd in the AXE is very quiet. Also have 444 and 555s. and 99micros all nice and quite. And to my now old audiophile ears, no whine of the esc or servos is a big plus for me. |
