Help splicing tiny wires?

http://imgur.com/a/FOqCWEgHoping someone can explain how I can splice this to repair it? Please speak slowly as I am not very tech/mechanically savvy.

Thank you!

Many ways to repair it. One is to cut the wires making sure you know which is which and strip a 1/4" to 1/2" of the insulation away from the actual wires. Twist together, solder and use heat shrink tubing over the wires and solder joint, which has to be put on the wires before twisting together and soldering.

If this is not easily understood you should take it to someone knowledgeable for the repair.

That's helpful information thank you... I wasn't sure if I need to tackle each group of wires one by one (reds, blacks etc.)

When I solder I always do 1 wire at a time. Just make sure you connect them up to the correct wire.

You will likley want to use a scrap of wire for the patch if you have one. Or just kink the wires that arent being repaired as twisting the cut wires together will shorten them.

A good way to strip back the wire coating on small stuff like this is to use a lighter to heat the end, then immediately pinch it with your fingernails and pull the coating off. You may want about 1/4" stripped off to be able to twist these together.

You will want to pull these wires apart from eachother, theres a small amount of the wire coating that connects all of these wires, just pull on a wire and it will come loose.

I would highly recommend using heat shrink tubing to insulate the solder joints. These are just plastic sleeves that can be heated to shrink around your wire, its much nicer than using electrical tape. Just make sure to put the heatshrink on the wire before soldering and give it some distance from the heat of the soldering so you dont shrink it too soon.

HumboldtEF -very useful info, thank you. I have some tiny solder/seal tubes I will try to use after I separate and strip the wires.
