Default Winch controller connections troubleshooting

I've got the following (picture).

It turns one way when I press button A, but doesn't turn the other way.

Servo is 360 with wires direct to motor.

Hooking the multimeter, I get a constant 5,55V out the red JST connector (that goes to the motor).
Pressing button A i get 8,18 (so the LiPo).
Pressing button B i get something like -227mV

I would assume presing B would give me reverse voltage from the LiPo so the motor would reverse.

Is there a way I can remedy this?

Pictures would be helpful here....

It all depends on what your are trying to control your winch with. "A" and "B" buttons really don't say how it is wired, or what is actually controlling it.

Huh. The pic in the post isn't showing? Unless there's something specific to show.

It's a unit from AliExpress with a two button controller.

Nope, no picture

How about a link to the product?

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you.

What kind of connector is on the output of the control box, and is it 2-wire or 3-wire? If it is a red JST, then the control box should be sending +5VDC (ish) when one botton is pressed, and -5VDC when the other botton is pressed.

If there is a servo connect on there (3-wire), then it might be sending a high voltage along with servo commands intended for a 360-degree servo.

I am guessing that the control box is only 2-wire, and something has fried inside. Recommend taking a look at Hey-OK's electronics offerings for stuff like this. You'll pay a little more, but all of his stuff works great and is very reliable.

Aw man, I was afraid something might have fried, because it's definitely not +5/-5 :(

Will take a look...
