Default Traxxas XL5 esc

Im building a tlt crawler would this make a good esc i plan on using a 55 turn integy motor and a stampede transmission. thanks

I have one in my truck and its nice and smooth but on 8 cells and a 55 turn it gets pretty warm and I know nothing is binding as I was afraid that was why and went all through the truck with a fine tooth comb and it still gets hotter than I think it should.

same here. I was using one in my 2.2 w/integy 55t and it performed very well. but it does get really hot. I never had any issues but it does not even like the slightest drop of water. I got it barely wet and reversed stopped working and then it quit one day when it was in my pede basher. the wires started melting and it totally fried my battery which actually caught on fire.

Thanks for the info guys iwas planning on buying a new stampede and using the tranny,esc and radio gear on my crawler.
