Default XRS Esc (motor stall)

Lately while crawlin my rig has had an issue of motor stall . Its been shutting down when in a tight situation so I would turn it off and on then this stalling started going on . I bought a Rx pack (not installed yet) for the shutdowns . tested the battery , cleaned the motor (brushes @ 75%).
Had something happened to the XRS during these shutdowns ?

running gear :
TLT , Pede trans (geared down as far as it'll go) , XRS esc , futaba radio , Jr ST125mg servo.
my only option left is to reprogram it (gotta get into the baloon , waterproofed).
anyone else had this issue ?

Im running exact same thing, its getting hot from the balloon. XRS get hot from low amp draw (low throttle) and get hot, the balloon is capturing the hot air, like ah ot air balloon, and its thermal shutdown system is kicking on!

I'd blame the batterys, or a worn out motor before I would blame the ESC.

I run a few and have really had no issues. One guy in our group bought my old J2 that has an XRS and it is having stall issues.

I will follow this thread and see if there are others.

You didn't mention what kind of and batteries you are running.

If you are running AA cell packs, they don't put out enough amps to pull your truck out of a bind. If you're not running a lathe motor, you might not have enough torque.

Default Rx pack

I tested the Rx pack today , Wow what a difference . Mad steering , gotta add more weight to the tires soon . The only stall I had was when the battery was almost dead .

Carnage : none to the crawlers but after the batteries were dead I took my jeep up some obstacles and tweaked the RR leaf spring a bit .
(leans to the right)

Note to self : hurt the R.C.'s not the jeep .
