Is this motor any good? I am still learing about brushless setups. This on is on sale too at Hobby Lobby for 18 bucks. Here is the info on it from there site: 1" diameter, 1" long without shaft, 3mm shaft, weighs 1-1/2 oz. Comes complete with radial mounting adapter for mounting in front of a firewall. Attach the motor to the Jeti speed control using our 1.8mm gold connectors MJ21011, or wire directly. Use MJ4698 3mm Ultralight collet prop adapter. For lightweight 3D models to 9-1/2 oz. and other airplanes to 16 oz. Use 9x3.8 to 11x3.8 prop and 2-3 LiPo cells and an 8 amp controller. Good to 10 amps but draws only 3 amps in hovering a model of 8-1/2 oz Steve

I agree. A bit light for my taste. The gws 2215 is a bit bigger at 2 ounces, and just a few bucks more. 2215 is the bare minimum stator size (22mm diameter, 15mm long) for a crawlable outrunner IMO. That motor looks to be 2015 or possibly 2213. Too light to be anything else.

That's awfully close to a CD-ROM motor. If you built an extremely lightweight rig and geared it way low you could probably get away with it. I'd use a bigger one, though. That 3 amp draw indicates that it's not going to produce much in the way of gruntage.
