Novak Rooster voltage question hey, just a quicky I've noticed that a lot of people run 14.4v in their clods with lathe motors. can i run 14.4v on my Novak Rooster? The instructions say never to use more than 7 cells, but since i'm using 55T motors (wired in parrallel) that don't suck too much current, would it be safe to run 14.4v? thanks |
Good question. I've been wondering the same thing. |
I wouldn't, but that's just me ;-) |
so then thats a negative? should i try it and see if it fries? |
I wouldn't. People have issues w/ a Rooster on 14.4V w/ lathe motors. I wouldn't even think to do it on a rooster. |

k, sounds good......is teh Traxxas EVX any good? |
It doesn't really matter what motors you are running. Yes the lathe motors don't pull as much but that has nothing to do with the voltage of the batteries to the ESC. If you hook 14.4 volts to the rooster you will smoke it. |
