The Mamba 25 is a brushless waterproof ESC. Holmes has them for sale, or RCP Crawlers. There's a video of it somewhere on the web with someone running it in a bucket of water.

Found the video for ya, it's 17MB's but the mamba is in the water. http://www.one18th.com/GetGallery11606.htm I know I've splashed and mudded my Mamba Max but not submerged it. I asked the Castle Guy at the RCX Expo and he said water resistant but not waterproof. But he did mention the video.

It has a lot to do with how hot the ESC is when it hits the water too. I dont expect a 200F peice of glass to hit water without consequence. If you are planning constant water forging, get a waterproof radio box. Tupperware type stuff works well.

Ok, thanks guys. No I dont plan on dunking it but when out crawing if it happens to turn over or just get wet from going through a puddle or something I dont want to fry it. Thanks for the info guys. Ill be looking up Mr Holms soon I guess. Just need to figure out which batterys to go with. I think I want to make my own packs so its going to limit me.

Making your own packs gives you no limits! It breaks them!
