Default Battery Help!!

Well I got new batteries, they are 7 cell 8.4 volt 4200 mah batteries. But my problem is that I tried them in my rigs witch both have the stock Traxxas esc and they both have no power. In the one rig I have done the mod for single battery and I hoked up the battery and it had a real bad glitching at first. So after some time of trying to figure out the problem, the esc light didn't go on like it sould have. I also run two reciever batteries in this rig. Then the second rig still has the stock esc with no mod. This rig ran for about a minute and then it ran, with no running power, like it didn't want to work at all. So my question is if these esc's can handle my batteries. Thaks in advance.

ThanX,
Krystopher

Did you give them a super sweet first charge?

1/10C for ~14 hours

Were they warm when you took them off your charger?

They weren't warm when I took them off the charger. I will try a 6 cell pack in the morning tommorrow. I will also charge the batteries again tommorrow.

Yea... When you buy new packs, it's always a good idea to charge them the first 3 times at 1/10 the capactiy... In your case, that'd be 420Ma charging, or, 0.42AMP... Do that the first 3 times and you'll get better life and longevity out of them... And they should still be warm after charging that low... Don't be surprised to see your packs take near 5000MaH on a low charge like that... My 3600's on a .3A charge will take near 4700...
