i'm running one magnetic mayhem in my emaxx. originally i had a super rooster in it but needed it for my clod. now i have a tekin rebel and it's not cutting it. I will spend the money for another super rooster if i have to, but does anyone know of another good less expensive ESC i could use? thanks.

You could use a LRP controller and you could even get it waterproof. I would just buy a Super Rooster though.

kevinlongisland- What about the Tekin Rebel did you not like? I was thinking of using one with a single Maxx Titan in an Emaxx based crawler so I would only need one battery. Did it overheat or give you problems?

I didn't really want to use the stock EVX and run two batteries. Unless anyone knows how to wire it to run 1 motor and 1 battery.

I too, would like to know why the Rebel is "not cutting it."
If you are using only one motor, a regular Rooster would also be a good choice. I use one and it never heats up!

after running for about 5 minutes, the rebel stops supplying power to the motor. if you let it sit for a minute or two, it works again. the heat sink is not getting hot, it does get warm. i believe it is going into thermal protection.

what are the specs on it. That is rediculous if it's going into thermal protection mode with a 22 turn motor.....even if you are running very slowly. You should try a little fan if you plan on keeping it.

i have to run a test one day to see what the current draw is of these motors when they motor is locked (not turning) and you give it full throttle. i believe these are the conditions that are causing it to shut down. the spot i was crawling in put the truck in allot of awkward positions were the wheels were locked often.

Wow... thats dumb. My Super Rooster heats up pretty hot when i crawl with 17T doubles.... Nothing to stop me though. Also, why is everyone moving to the Tekin Rebel 2? What happened to the Super Rooster?
