| thinking of getting a DS8711 ULTRA TORQUE SX
anyone using a jr racing DS8711 ULTRA TORQUE SX 1/10 servo? I would like to know what you think of it

i am running that servo and it works ok, nothing special but for what u pay for it does the trick

That servo should do fine. Might check this. At 7.2v it does well over 400oz. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXHZR9&P=ML There are also 1/4 servo's that have that much torque for alot less. |

My buddy and I put one of those JR Ultra servos in his TLT yesterady. It does fine, a bit loud because it's digital and seems to be a bit sensitive to glitch but seems to hold and steer really well.

I run the DS8711 in the front and rear of my super clod. Plenty of power and very smooth.

Running it in my daughter's comp SW2 with a voltage regulator set at 6v. Love it, it will move the rear of the truck over a few inches, if the front have enough traction At the last comp, on a descent, the rear tire was going to hit the cone, unavoidable, I turned the fronts, and it swung the rear over 3", and I was able to drive straight through the gate. |

Just make sure you have a nice BEC circuit. 8711s pull some current. |
