Does a xtm torque punisher servo 175 oz/tq @ 4.8v/205 @ 6v I think, have enough torque to turn jumbo kongs on a crawler weighing around 9 to 11 lbs ?

i heard those servos were very slow as it is. let alone trying to turn that much weight. i have a airtronics 200 oz. servo in my front and sometimes it has trouble turning the BFT tires in some situations

IF you have the room, look at one of these: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLN93&P=0 I run this servo on two of my crawlers. I also run it at full 7.2 volts so the torque is even more than the claimed 343 oz-in at 6.0V! 8O I don't run Kongs, but MGT tires and the servo NEVER strains in the slightest. Plus its cheap! Best have a strong servo mount though

That was my next question, the cs-80. Any drawbacks to it? Are you using a seperate stick pack to power it? Can it be wired in parallel with the esc to the battery for full power?

On one crawler, I ran the power directly to the battery connector on the esc... (which means the radio is always on if you plug the battery in) This crawler has a rooster and the esc couldn't supply enough amps to the servo. On my other crawler, I just run it off the Super Rooster ESC and it works great. If I need more torque I can always hook it to the battery.
