| Good servos for Mamba Max
So if I use MM then I guess my reg servos wont work huh. Do I need to go to dig? I want to use my MM with my Clod and my TQ3. I was going to use 5955 servos with the MM but after reading some post, some people said it will not work. What am i going to have to do to get it to work. I would also like to know an alternative tothe 5955 cause I need two of them and that is 200 bones. lol |

The bottom line on all of these server/spdo questions is that the best way to power your servos is not to use BEC on the ESC, but rather to disconnect it, and use a 6v receiver pack. Once you do that, what you use for servos is a matter of what you decide you want to pay for and plug in.

Well, you've got a clod. I'm not sure how you'd manage a dig servo, as far as I know that tends to be a shafty thing. Unless you're working some sort of mechanical electric disconnect, I don't think I understand what you're asking. But rest assured a good 6v pack will run however many servos you need to put in a truck.

I guess what I am asking is if I use my HS645MG with my MM will that work. this is all new to me. I just thought in order to use the MM i had to have a dig servo.

Yes your servo will work fine, where did you get "dig servo"?

I dont have one. I just bought the MM and I am waiting for my Clod that has been moded to come in. The ESC that is on it is not very good. So I have bought 2 Lathe motors and a MM. I just want to make sure that I can use all of this. Som other post talks about not being able to use the MM with the TQ3. I also have the TQ3 coming.

MM works fine with the TQ3, or any other radio for that matter. It's the 2 5955 servos running off of the MM BEC that will not work well for you. A voltage regulator is the way to cure that, or if you want more weight and want to spend more time charging, a RX battery pack will work too |

Thank you....I might go with to RX pack for now. I think that i will buy a 5955 and put it up front and move the HS645MG to the rear.

| If you plan on running the 5955's you need a better radio with EPA's... Far as I know the TQ3 will burn that servo up in no time. 645's would be fine just under powered for a Super. If you have the money get a DX3 or DX6...

Why hasn't anyone asked him if he is making a Super Class Model, or a 2.2 Class model? If you are building a Super with those Clod axles, you would be better off with a second MM ESC, two servos for steering and a 4-6 channel stick radio. If you are building a 2.2 then the single ESC and single steering servo is all you need and do the rear motor disconnect type of DIG with another servo and the TQ3 radio. You can have steering EPA's added to the TQ3 if you wish to use digital servos, or purchase a servo programmer to limit the travel. Keep searching and reading the threads on the forum. You will find it all on here...
