Tekin Rebel 2

Has anyone tried this new version of the Tekin Rebel (Tekin Rebel "2")? The 5 amp BEC seems like it would be ideal for crawling.
Some of the specs from Tekin's website:

Controls: Fwd/Brk/rev
Input Voltage: 4-10 Cells (stk) 4-8 Cells (mod)
On resistance: 0.0038
Frequency: 2000 Hz
Power Wires: 15 Gauge
Plugs: JST/Bullet
BEC: 6.0V / 5.0A
Weight (with wires) 2.4 OZ
Size: 1.8" x 1.4" x 1"

The $129.00 price is a little more than the SR, but with the 5A BEC, I am considering this esc. Thanks for any input/info.

Any idea if this ESC can handle 2 lathe motors in series or parallel?

I don't see any reason why it couldn't handle 2 lathes. My crappy Duratrax Sprint handles 2 lathes, so I think pretty much any esc can. I have to use a reciever pack to run the servos, which is why I am looking into the Rebel 2 (it has a 5 amp BEC). I wouldn't have to carry around the extra weight.

I'm curious if anyone has used one. For $79.99 it's a hell of a deal, I might pick one up for the clod!

I am just curious if anyone has tried one yet. I am about to buy a speed control and didnt know if this one is any good.

I ran a Tekin 420-G2 with dual Monster Maxx motors, didn't even heat up. The 6v, 5a BEC is also really nice, keeps all the radio junk running smooth.

I have my Tekin Rebel 2 in the mail, so I'll let you all know how it performs when it gets here.
